ILANZ Scholarship Opening December

ILANZ Scholarship Opening December

30 November 2016

ILANZ will be inviting applications for the 2017 ILANZ scholarship next month. We strongly encourage all in-house counsel and post-graduate law students to consider applying for this opportunity.

The total scholarship award of up to $10,000 may be made to an applicant or applicants whose area of study has the potential to benefit the in-house legal profession in New Zealand.

Potential areas of interest identified by the ILANZ committee include, but are not limited to, research on privilege, ethics, independence, the impact of the shared services amendments, innovation and the use of technology in the in-house profession.

The 2016 recipient, Sarah Taylor's research has focussed on flexible lawyering. Sarah’s report will be published by ILANZ in early 2017. To read more about Sarah’s project click here.

If you have considered undertaking further study or have identified a relevant overseas conference or residential course you wish to attend and can share your learnings with the rest of the profession, feel free to contact ilanz@lawsociety.org.nz to discuss your proposal or look out for the scholarship application invitation in February.
