Haere Mai! Introducing Anita Rhodes, the new ILANZ Manager
I am Anita Rhodes and I’m writing this a couple days into the role where my day begins and ends on Zoom (for now).
I’m quite flabbergasted April is almost here but excited and looking forward to the much-anticipated 2021 ILANZ Conference (https://ilanz.org/conference/) being held in May in Wellington. I hope to see many of you there and look forward to meeting you over the next few months.
I have been working at the NZLS in the Auckland Branch as the NZLS AYL committee secretariat and had the opportunity to work with a fantastic team of young lawyers, including in-house, to connect and promote collegiality among newly admitted lawyers through networking events and provide them with a voice to the wider Society and branch councils.
Getting personal, there’s no such thing as off duty in my life. When I’m not working, I’m spending time with my one and half year-old son Asher (soon to be in the terrible two’s) and trying to catch up with friends or off to concert - L.A.B this weekend.
We have some significant plans for this year and I am looking forward to working with the ILANZ Committee to better connect and support our members.
