Lisa is a property and construction lawyer with over 20 years legal experience, both in private practice and in-house roles.  Prior to her current role as General Counsel for Barfoot & Thompson, New Zealand's largest privately owned real estate company, Lisa spent 5 years as General Counsel for the Real Estate Institute of New Zealand. Lisa heads a dedicated team of 7 and is responsible for overseeing the regulatory and compliance obligations of Barfoot & Thompson, managing audit and risk and providing strategic legal advice and guidance to the organisation. Lisa and her team have a particular interest in exploring ways in which AI can be safely harnessed to create efficiencies for lawyers working in faced-paced, reactive environments
