Jessica Palairet is the Executive Director at Lawyers for Climate Action NZ Inc. She is formerly a Junior Barrister at Shortland Chambers, and recently returned from New York where she obtained an LL.M. specialising in climate litigation from New York University and worked at the United Nations. Lawyers for Climate Action is a charitable organisation that uses the law to enable more effective action on climate change. With over 350 members from across the country, it brings strategic climate litigation and works to help shape the development of more effective climate law and policy.
