This session will look at various models for managing external legal providers, from the client’s perspective. Given the wide variety of practices in this area, we will explore how different agencies find their comfort zone between in-house and externals, single providers and panels, structured approach and ad-hoc cherry picking. We will encourage a wide variety of views from participants and explore different ways of navigating the pros and cons, and getting the balance right under ongoing pressure for cost efficiency.
