In house legal: A force to be reckoned with
2019 Deloitte-ILANZ In-House Legal Counsel Survey
In February 2019 we invited our members to participate in an in-depth survey examining practices and priorities for in-house legal teams. This was followed by a series of face to face interviews and a panel discussion at the ILANZ conference in May.
The purpose of the survey was to:
- Increase our understanding of the current profile of the in-house legal profession;
- Provide an insight into the current and aspirational priorities for in-house legal counsel; and
- Provide information to assist in-house teams with benchmarking.
ILANZ would like thank our members who completed the survey and Deloitte for their collegiality and generous support in conducting this survey and producing the report.
In-house legal is the growth engine of the legal profession in New Zealand and is now very much a force to be reckoned with. It is our pleasure to now present these results.
In September and October we will be running networking events in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch focussed on some of the key findings from the report. These will be a chance to discuss the findings with other ILANZ members. Separate invitations will be sent out for these events.
