COVID-19 Protection Framework: New Zealand Law Society Events Protocols

All contractors, suppliers, and attendees will need to QR Scan or sign in on the register and declare their vaccination status on arrival and present a vaccine pass or certificate at all ILANZ events. Anyone who does not declare their status or present a pass or certificate will be considered unvaccinated. You must be vaccinated to enter ILANZ events.
Red Traffic Light
For fully vaccinated contractors, suppliers, and attendees, under the COVID-19 Protection Framework, all movement restrictions are removed but gatherings, events and public facilities are restricted to a maximum of 100 people with social distancing restrictions of 1 metre apply, based on the site capacity to maintain social distancing requirements. Masks are recommended when meeting at Law Society premises or contracted event venues.
Orange Traffic Light
For fully vaccinated contractors, suppliers, and attendees, under the COVID-19 Protection Framework, all movement restrictions are removed and there are no social distancing restrictions or capacity limits. Masks are encouraged at Law Society premises or contracted event venues.
Green Traffic Light
For fully vaccinated contractors, suppliers, and attendees, under the COVID-19 Protection Framework, all movement and social distancing restrictions are removed. Masks are not required but encouraged indoors at Law Society premises or contracted event venues.
For unvaccinated contractors, suppliers and attendees, the Law Society COVID-19 Response policy for access to premises and events requires that you must be fully vaccinated to enter. Unvaccinated attendees will be offered the opportunity to attend virtually (if available).
Entry requirements for all event attendees include:
- QR scanning and record keeping are required; and
- Declare their vaccination status and present a vaccine pass/certificate; and
- Mask wearing appropriate to the traffic light colour.
A sanitising and contact-tracing desk is set up at the main entrances to all event venues. Available on each desk are disposable masks, sanitiser, wipes, QR code posters, sign-in sheets (if unable to QR scan) and a list of protocols to be followed.
If you have a cough, cold or flu-like symptoms you must STAY AWAY until symptom free, and have a negative COVID –19 test.
This applies to:
All contractors, suppliers, and attendees at a Law Society event or contracted event venue.
Under the COVID-19 Protection Framework and Law Society COVID-19 Response policy restrictions and requirements will apply differently to fully vaccinated and unvaccinated contractors, suppliers, and attendees.
