We are looking for an experienced Technology Lawyer to join us at Fisher & Paykel Appliances. In this role you will support, partner and influence our global business, providing commercial advice, covering corporate, legal, and regulatory matters from data protection and privacy to technology licensing and intellectual property. Within the legal team, collaboration is at the forefront to air new ideas and share knowledge along the way to ensure that the best practices are in place and all ideas are heard. This role can be full time or part time(32hours). Key Responsibilities:
- Provide timely commercial advice to the business in relation to a variety of corporate, legal and regulatory matters with a technology focus including but not limited to:
- Technology licensing and intellectual property
- Data protection/privacy
- Identifying and mitigating legal risk to the business
- Contracts, third party agreements, vendor supplier relationships
- Environmental, social and corporate governance
We are looking for:
- Currently working in the technology/ digital space
- Understanding of key intellectual property concepts and experience in licensing.
- Knowledge of key privacy concepts including issues arising from cross-border data flows.
- Demonstrated experience in developing compliance frameworks.
- 7+ years Post Qualified Experience.
- Proven experience working for leading private practice law firms and/ or in-house.
- Strong contractual drafting skills.
- Ability to distil complicated legal concepts.
- Flexibility to work after hours on occasion to meet global commitments.
