About the role

SG Fleet invites a Senior Legal Counsel to join the team in this pivotal role. Reporting to both the local Managing Director and Sydney-based General Counsel, you will provide timely and accurate legal advice to SG Fleet Group’s New Zealand leaders and wider businesses to ensure the business achieves its goals while identifying and minimising the risks.

In this role you will provide legal advice in relation to commercial, operational, and contractual issues as well as legal and regulatory matters. Your solutions-focused, commercially astute advice will be well received by your stakeholders across the business.

What we’re looking for:

· A smart, commercially astute lawyer with at least 5+ years’ PQE

· Experience in corporate/commercial law with demonstrated contract negotiation and drafting expertise

· An articulate and confident communicator who enjoys engaging with people at all business levels

· A pragmatic, proactive people person who is keen to learn and is happy to work autonomously with support
