About the role
Oceania Healthcare has a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Legal Counsel who wants to enjoy a varied role, quality work and all the benefits of being a key member of this high performing legal team. This role reports to the Group General Counsel and will assist in the provision of legal and regulatory advice to the whole business.
As Senior Legal Counsel you will provide legal support to key stakeholders across the business. This role will ensure you thrive on the variety whilst continuing to develop a high level of professional skill across a great range of matters. Your workflow will include advice and support to executive and senior leadership members on legal matters including contract review, drafting and negotiation, assisting with NZX/ASX announcements and reporting, internal legal assistance on M&A, divestments and capital markets related issues and regulatory compliance matters.

What we're looking for:
- A smart savvy lawyer with a minimum of 4 - 5 years’ PQE experience who holds a current NZ legal practising certificate.
- Experience in corporate, commercial and/or property law. Previous inhouse experience not required.
- A pragmatic, proactive people person who is happy to work autonomously with support.
- Interest or experience in healthcare law preferred but not essential.
