About the role
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced employment relations lawyer to join their growing and supportive team. This permanent full-time role will be based in Aukland and reports to the Head of Employment Relations.
As a Senior Employment Relations Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in providing effective, consistent, and timely employment relations advice and support to both internal and external HR customers. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring compliance with employment law, managing employee relations issues effectively, and contributing to the overall success of the business.

What we’re looking for
- A lawyer with minimum 7 years’ post-admission experience, with employment litigation experience, who holds (or is entitled to hold) a current NZ practising certificate.
- Sound knowledge of New Zealand employment and industrial law and experience providing pragmatic advice on a range of general employment law issues.
- Experience in mediation and Employment Relations Authority hearings, and managing ER issues and disputes
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Enthusiasm for working with a wide range of people
