Te Kaiurungi | About the Role

The Senior Corporate Lawyer will be a key part of our in-house Legal Services team providing legal support and advice for BNZ's financial crime risk and operations functions (particularly AML/CFT), anti-bribery & corruption, FATCA/CRS and sanctions. Leading our legal support for BNZ's obligations in relation to financial crime and anti-money laundering, you will develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure we are delivering on our compliance programmes and initiatives.

The hours for this role are 18.75 hours per week.

 

Ō Pūkenga | About You

You'll bring with you previous experience in a top tier New Zealand law firm or large corporate organisation, with a background in providing support and advice on financial crime and money laundering, or complementary legal expertise. You'll possess strong technical skills with knowledge in anti money laundering, sanctions, anti-bribery and corruption, and/or FATCA/CRS.

You will be a highly skilled communicator with demonstrated success in influencing stakeholders and a high level of motivation and passion to secure positive outcomes for our customers and each other.
