We're looking for a Regulatory Change Manager to join our award-winning Legal & Regulatory team on a fixed term contract for 12 months. Reporting to the Head of Conduct & Culture, you inspire positive change to the business to meet the rapidly changing regulatory landscape,, particularly significant upcoming reforms under the Financial Services (Conduct of Financial Institutions) Amendment Bill (CoFI Bill), and the introduction of mandatory climate-related disclosures.
About the role:

Analyse and understand the significance and impact of expected regulatory changes and provide clear information to impacted stakeholders.

Successfully guide the business to implement timely and sustainable business changes and process improvements that keep the customer at the centre of all decision-making.

Collaborate with impacted business divisions to develop change management programmes to ensure a smooth transition.

Identify and manage risks and issues to deliver a successful outcome, with minimal disruption to BAU.

Track progress against milestones and address any emerging risks or issues as they arise.

Provide regular progress updates and reporting to senior stakeholders and governance bodies to facilitate key decision making.

Provide pragmatic advice and practical solutions that meet regulatory expectations and fulfils our purpose of helping New Zealanders live Healthier Longer Better Lives.
About you:

Understanding the diverse range of subjects and issues that are prevalent in the insurance sector and financial services industry.

Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
-
Superior relationship management experience, with a proven ability to develop deep relationships at all levels internally and externally.

Excellent negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to collaborate to find solutions that meet changing business needs.

Proven project or change management experience with regulatory change programmes and in a financial services environment is preferred
-
Legal experience at a top-tier law firm or within an in-house Legal team working on regulatory change or compliance projects will also be highly desirable.

Relevant tertiary qualification (legal qualifications preferred).
