ACCs General Counsel and its Legal team are responsible for the provision of specialist advice and legal services to ACC.
The Legal Practice and Support Lead is responsible for the embedding of best practice for Legal team activity and outputs through robust communication, training, support and effective coordination of tasks and resources. This includes ensuring policies, standards and processes are developed, refined,and understood and that agreed best practice is followed by the Legal team to improve and mature the delivery of legal services within ACC. The role also provides leadership to the Legal Administrator who supports the Legal team.

You will be confident and credible working in a large Crown Entity or in an environment that gives you relevant experience to succeed at ACC. Your collaborative and inclusive style will enable to you to support ACCs General Counsel, work with the Legal Leadership and wider Legal team, as well as form strong relationships across ACC.
To be successful in this role, you'll have:
- minimum five years of experience in practice management, legal operations and/or service delivery in a Legal environment including coordinating tasks and outputs for legal related activities
- minimum three years of experience in communication, education, and training for technical and non-technical people in processes and standards
- proven track record embedding standards and processes and continuous improvement activities
- excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to form trusted relationships and communicate to different stakeholder levels
- a relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent knowledge, skills, and experience, and a commitment to ongoing professional development
- demonstrated capability for problem solving, decision making, exercising judgement, and promoting the right way to do things for the right reasons mahi tika, mahi pono
- well-developed relationship management skills
- excellent oral and written communication skills
- sound relationship building and interpersonal skills
- the ability to function effectively as part of a team
- knowledge of Agile delivery and familiarity with large-scale organisational projects is desirable.

The base salary range for this role is $117,422 - $158,859 with appointment depending on skills and experience and internal relativities. ACC also offers 9% superannuation.
