Āu Mahi | What You Will Do

A rare and exciting career opportunity has arisen for an experienced intermediate solicitor to assist the University's in-house Senior Legal Counsel, specialising in employment and health and safety law. You will be part of a collegial People and Culture team, working closely with the Business Partners in empowering our leaders in their day-to-day duties. You will successfully provide legal advice, advocacy and support on grievances, disputes, change management, health and safety, remuneration and general employment relations matters. Mōu | Who You Are

You will be passionate about making a difference and have experience in a similar role with specialist legal knowledge in employment and health and safety law, and have:

· substantial experience (5 years' PQE) in managing or advising on performance and disciplinary processes and change management

· experience in resolving workplace issues and mediation

· ability to utilise advocacy and public speaking skills in mediation and when delivering presentations and trainings

· proven experience and commitment to enhancing cultural awareness and competence

· excellent technical know-how with problem solving skills

· a 'can do' attitude, together with a friendly professional style.
