About the role
Our client is seeking an enthusiastic lawyer to join their friendly and vibrant Auckland based team as Legal Counsel. Your contribution will be welcome and valued as will your can-do attitude. You will provide legal support to the corporate and commercial operations.
The work is interesting and varied, and this team are committed to assisting you to upskill, so you will enjoy learning new things. You will provide advice on a wide range of legal matters including commercial contracts, sales, technology, digital and licensing arrangements, sponsorship, partnerships and agency trading agreements copyright, IP matters, commercial and property leasing, privacy and data and also assist with M&A matters.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone eager to transition from private practice into an in-house role. You’ll work closely with the General Counsel and Senior Legal Counsel, and you’ll also have direct exposure to the Executive Team and Senior Leadership Team. The role is full time, with flexibility.
What we’re looking for
- A lawyer with a strong LLB degree with at least 3 years’ PQE, with general corporate and commercial experience and a current NZ legal practising certificate or entitled to obtain one
- A strong commercial contracts skill set
- Pragmatic, commercially minded and comfortable in a fast-paced dynamic environment
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills and relationship management
- Excellent time management skills
