About the role
Reporting to the General Counsel you will partner in a proactive, innovative manner across the company’s business units, group companies and joint venture interests. You will work as part of a commercially focused cohesive team and provide risk based legal and commercial guidance and related services.
An ideal first inhouse role you will be well supported to build your stakeholder relationships and understand their aims and drivers so you can provide the right balance of challenge and support in delivering legal services. As a highly valued member of this great team, you will provide innovative, right sized legal advice and services, and actively look for ways to embed learnings and continuous improvement.
What we’re looking for
· 3+ years’ PQE either from private practice or inhouse
· A commercially savvy lawyer with extensive experience in commercial contracts and corporate legal work
· Energy or comparable industry knowledge and retail and privacy experience is an advantage
· Articulate and confident communicator with strong negotiation skills
· Pragmatic person who enjoys solving challenges in a fast-paced, dynamic organisation, alongside a range of diverse and dynamic personalities
