Right now, we're looking for an Intermediate Solicitor to join our busy Policy team within the General Counsel function. You'll be delivering consistent and effective regulatory policy advice and expertise to ensure our development and application of regulatory policy (e.g. law reform review and advice, exemptions, guidance) reinforces our regulatory strategy and reputation as an agile, effective, proactive and respected regulator.
Tertiary qualified, you'll have a minimum of 4+ years' experience in the financial services or public sector environment along with an excellent knowledge of laws and regulations relevant to the financial sector. You'll have experience gained in a law firm, public sector and/or corporate environment along with a proven ability to interact with stakeholders both within and outside of the FMA for the best outcomes. Your ability to take ownership and get the job done in a positive and outcome focused manner whilst remaining open to other relevant views and options will allow you to truly excel in this role.
