About the role
Are you a seasoned professional with a passion for employment relations and a track record of delivering results, we want to hear from you! Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced employment relations consultant to join their growing and supportive tight knit team. This permanent full-time role will be based in Aukland and reports to the Head of Employment Relations.
As an Employment Relations consultant, you will provide effective, pragmatic, consistent and timely employment relations advice and support to people leaders and employees to achieve good ER outcomes.

What we’re looking for
- A relevant tertiary degree qualification (ideally in Law or Human Resources)
- At least 5 years’ experience working in employment relations roles in a complex ER environment
- Demonstrated capability in advising end-to-end on disciplinary processes (including suspension processes), conducting employment investigations, including interviewing parties, assessing evidence and drafting investigation reports
- Demonstrated capability in interpreting and applying New Zealand employment legislation and case law
- Proven stakeholder engagement skills, the ability to build great working relationships with people leaders
- Proven ability to negotiate effective employment resolutions
- Able to build strong collaborative relationships
- Good communication, interpersonal skills and situational awareness
