Our Governance function is establishing itself as a centre of excellence, working across the organisation to enhance ACC’s governance and enable the best outcomes. Working with a refreshed Board, and with a new Manager, our team provides governance services to the Board, Executive and ACC, and corporate secretariat services to the Board, Board Committees and Executive, and governance advice to ACC teams.
We have an exciting opportunity to join us as a Corporate Secretary for an 18-month, fixed term contract, located in Wellington.
Mō tenei tūrana mahi | About this role
As our new Corporate Secretary, we’ll be looking to you to take a big picture view of the Governance function and support the team to provide efficient and effective governance advisory and corporate secretariat services.
You’ll be reporting to the Manager Governance, supporting the Senior Corporate Secretary, and working to deliver quality engagement between the ACC teams, Board Committees and Executive Team. This includes ensuring there are sustainable and robust governance and corporate secretariat systems and processes that enable ACC to uplift its governance practices. You’ll also be a key contributor in the maintenance and management of governance policies, records, and decision-making frameworks.

You’ll have a legal qualification, senior level governance experience and be well-practiced in secretariat work, ideally from within a large organisation. You’ll have worked with Boards in a public sector or Crown Entity environment and have excellent understanding of the corporate governance landscape. To be successful you’ll be proactive and inclusive, with an ability to think strategically.

The base salary range for this role is $97,888 – $138,194 with appointment depending on skills and experience. ACC also offers 9% superannuation.
