About the role
Supported by Aroa's senior in-house lawyer while working with autonomy and independence, you will provide day to day advice across all areas of the business including global sales and marketing, product development, intellectual property and clinical research. In particular, you will advise on commercial contracts and partnership arrangements; ensure that marketing and external communications are legally compliant; provide advice and support on clinical trials, and assist generally to ensure that risk is well managed. This is a part-time role of up to approximately 24 hours per week with flexible working arrangements on offer.
What we are looking for:
- Qualified lawyer with NZ practising certificate (or eligibility to hold one)
- Mid to senior level post qualification experience in corporate or commercial law
- Confidence to provide pragmatic and commercially sound legal advice
- A self-sufficient, resourceful and team focused working style
- The ability to form constructive relationships within an innovative, fast paced business setting
- The ability to take initiative, solve problems and handle rapid change
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
