About the role

Southern Cross Healthcare is New Zealand’s largest network of private healthcare services, and the country’s only national network of private hospitals and health service facilities. As a result of ongoing planned business transformation and growth, Southern Cross Healthcare has created a new Company Secretarial role.

Based in Auckland’s CBD, you will deliver dedicated corporate governance advice and secretariat services to Southern Cross Healthcare and support the General Counsel with broader legal matters as required. You will also work collaboratively with the Company Secretary for Southern Cross Health Society to support best practice corporate governance across the group.

 

What we’re looking for:

· This role will suit a versatile company secretary and/or intermediate lawyer with at least 5 years’ relevant experience working in law firms or in-house

· Broader general commercial contract and/or property skill set would be beneficial

· Responsive and results-focused, with a pragmatic and positive attitude and excellent communication skills both written and spoken

· Relevant tertiary qualification and a working knowledge of relevant government legislation

· Strong attention to detail and proven ability to connect and build trust with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
