Sarah Alderson is a senior in-house lawyer with experience across Australia and New Zealand in general commercial, intellectual property, IT, aviation and procurement. Originally from Christchurch, Sarah spent six years overseas working in both large legal teams and as sole New Zealand /Australia Counsel. Upon returning to New Zealand, she has worked as Senior Legal Counsel at Airways Corporation and as Juno Counsel while also attaining corporate governance qualifications through the Chartered Governance Institute NZ (CGINZ). She sits on the board of her children’s school and is heavily involved in the education and professional standards sub-boards for CGINZ. In her new position as Chief Legal Risk Officer at Lyttleton Port Company, Sarah is in the process of establishing a greenfield internal legal function and would love for there to be a better resource on how to do it!
