Senior Telecommunications Lawyer, Regulation - Auckland

We are seeking a talented Telecommunications Lawyer to join our Legal team. This role will contribute significantly to our high profile projects, such as a market study of mobile telecommunications and the creation of a new regulatory regime for regulating fibre services, as well as providing advice to existing projects across the full range of telecommunications regulation undertaken by the Commission.
To ensure your success in this role you will:
- have relevant experience in the telecommunications sector, whether in New Zealand or an overseas jurisdiction
- be a sophisticated adviser
- have excellent judgement in handling complex legal issues
- be an excellent communicator
- take a balanced approach to legal risk.
Your ability to form strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders is vital. You will have in-depth knowledge and expertise in economic regulation, competition law or public law, and have a good understanding of economic principles, and statutory interpretation.
