Senior Solicitor, 6 months Secondment - Wellington

The Ministry of Social Development (MSD) has a six months secondment opportunity for a senior solicitor. We are currently operating a shared service that advises both MSD and Oranga Tamariki.

About the role

The Shared Legal Service is looking for a senior lawyer to lead a hub that advises on employment, privacy, and health and safety.  You will work closely with and mentor two solicitors in the team, providing support and guidance, overseeing the work programme as well as leading work.  You will need employment law experience to a senior level, including managing personal grievances, attending mediation, and instructing counsel. Experience of privacy and health safety work is an advantage.
