About the role

As Senior Legal Counsel in this innovative business, you will partner with stakeholders across the business to drive the company’s strategy and manage its risk.

With the legal function operating as a shared service across business units, the work is varied and challenging. In addition to drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of contracts (from consulting and supply contracts through to licensing and IT agreements), you’ll advise on operational issues as well as on applicable laws and regulations, and provide training to the business. With stakeholders across New Zealand, some domestic travel is involved.

This business is open to part time and flexible working arrangements for the right candidate.

What we’re looking for:

· Minimum 5 years’ PQE with inhouse experience.

· Experience with commercial contracts and ideally also IP and IT.

· Strong communication, influencing and negotiation skills.

· Strong analytical skills, particularly with statutory and regulatory frameworks.
