Join Fonterra in this pivotal Senior Corporate Counsel role and support work across the broader business.
About the opportunity
Reporting to the divisional General Counsel and as part of a highly regarded legal team you will provide advice and direction on day-to-day legal issues and support of major business projects and initiatives both within New Zealand and internationally. This can include leading the business through mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and strategic partnerships. You will also support and manage regulatory issues and litigation.
Workflows will also include managing risks proactively and working collaboratively to achieve beneficial outcomes that support business strategy. You will actively contribute to the wider strategic and commercial thinking, conversations and decisions within the global legal team and in the wider business, including Health and Safety and Food Safety and quality.
About you
· A commercially savvy lawyer with at least 8 years' experience
· Strong core of commercial contracts, competition law and commercial IP experience preferred
· High quality law firm and/or inhouse experience working with complex organisations
· Strong relationship building and stakeholder management experience
· A solutions-focused, energetic and collaborative team player
